Happy Birthday America - Celebrate Independence Day

Celebrating America's Birthday

July 4th, 2024

Each fourth of July we celebrate the birth of American Independence. We at the Motorcycle Riders Foundation would like to recognize that freedom is not and has never been free. We thank those in our armed forces for defending all of our freedoms. Perhaps Patrick Henry said it best in 1775 when he declared "Give me liberty or give me death!"

Why we celebrate on July 4th: In June of 1776, representatives of the thirteen colonies, already fighting for 15 months in the revolutionary struggle, considered a resolution that would declare their independence from Great Britain. On July 2nd, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence. Then, two days later, on July 4th, 1776, the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence, formally severing ties with Great Britain.
