This week the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame Inducted eight new members. Included in the class was Jiggs Cressy, who was honored with the 2024 Freedom Fighter Award. Jiggs is a long-time member of the Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF). For two decades he has filled key leadership roles with ABATE of South Dakota and helped host the annual Heartland STEAM event, which supports the MRF.
This honor is one of many Jiggs has received from the motorcycling community. He was previously presented with the MRF’s John “Farmer" Eggers Award and the President’s Cup. The crowd of 700 at the induction ceremony was filled with dozens of friends and family there to support Jiggs and celebrate this fantastic distinction. <span data-markjs="true">Congratulations to Jiggs and his fellow inductees!
Additionally, honored at the event was MRF President and Sturgis Hall of Famer, Kirk “Hardtail” Willard. Hardtail received the “Law Tigers Hall of Fame Hero” award. The award was to acknowledge Hardtail’s extensive history in the motorcyclist rights movement and to spotlight the work of the MRF. Included in the award to Hardtail was a check for $2,500 to support the MRF’s efforts.
Having multiple members of the MRF celebrated during the 84th Sturgis Rally is an important signal to all bikers that the MRF has been and remains the voice of the street rider in Washington, D.C.
