Wouldn't you call a foreign leader who claimed this power a tyrant?
I believe in the right to self-defense against AGGRESSORS. But in civilized society, no one can take the law into their own hands to attack...
* merely SUSPECTED aggressors...
* anyone who doesn't pose an immediate threat, or...
* people with only alleged and vague associations with suspected aggressors.
Nor could I kill innocent people as "collateral damage" in my attack.
* Wouldn't you call me a mass murderer if I did?
* How are the President's actions any different?
* How do you KNOW his targets are guilty of anything?
Repealing the AUMF strips the President of his legal excuse for drone murders -- against Americans or anyone else.
End this State criminality. Repeal the AUMF!
I will watch what you do. You are in a position to act. If you tolerate these crimes, you are aiding and abetting. You sacrifice whatever remaining legitimacy you claim to have.
